Two Individuals Charged with Jail Killing of Ex-Lostprophets Vocalist Ian Watkins
Two individuals now face murder charges following the death in prison of former Lostprophets singer and adjudicated child sex criminal Ian Watkins.
Samuel Dodsworth, 43, and Rashid Gedel, 25 have both been charged with murder and will appear before Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, as stated by law enforcement officials.
Watkins, 48 years old, was in the midst of a 29-year prison term at HMP Wakefield, with a further six years to be served on licence, after confessing to numerous sex crimes which included the attempted rape of a baby.
Watkins was apprehended subsequent to a substance-related warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a significant quantity of computers, mobile phones and data storage units were seized.
